The Wyze Video Doorbell is a reliable video doorbell that stands out for its affordability, making it one of the most sought-after security doorbells on the market. However, its lower price does mean some compromises in video quality. Nevertheless, it comes with handy features such as theft deterrent and the ability to customize chimes, adding value to its cost-effective appeal for home security.
The Wyze Video Doorbell offers a 1080p HD video resolution with a 4:3 aspect ratio. It sends you quick notifications and smart alerts when it detects motion. And with a Cam Plus subscription, you get extra features like cloud video recording, person detection, and smart event reports.
The Wyze Video Doorbell offers high-quality video capabilities, recording and live streaming in 1080p Full HD resolution. With its unique 4:3 aspect ratio, it ensures that you can see every visitor from head to toe, providing a comprehensive view of anyone approaching your front door. This combination of clear video and a wide aspect ratio enhances your ability to identify visitors and monitor your property effectively.
The Wyze Video Doorbell is equipped with motion detection technology, which enables it to detect movement in its field of view. When motion is detected, the doorbell can send you alerts and notifications, keeping you informed of any activity near your front door.
Additionally, it features a motion-activated LED that immediately captures the attention of anyone who approaches. This bright LED serves as a visual alert, notifying visitors that their presence has triggered the motion detection. It not only alerts you but also deters potential intruders or unwanted visitors, adding an extra layer of security to your front door.
The Wyze Video Doorbell has no local storage option. Cloud storage is free, but there's a catch. The camera provides only snapshots of events, and there is a five-minute recording delay between these events.
If you want longer video clips without the five-minute cool down in between, you'll need a Cam Plus subscription. With this subscription, you'll have access to 12-second clips and person alerts. You can also unlock intelligent motion alerts for people, pets, vehicles, and packages, as well as activate 2x and 4x Event Fast-Forwarding.
The Wyze Video Doorbell offers two-way audio and convenient quick responses. With a simple tap of the "talk" button in the Wyze app, you can instantly communicate with a delivery driver, giving them clear instructions on where to leave your package. Additionally, the doorbell provides preset quick responses that you can use, such as letting someone know you'll be there to welcome them shortly or requesting them to leave the package at the door. These features make it effortless to manage deliveries and interact with visitors, enhancing your home's convenience and security.
With Cam Plus, the Wyze Video Doorbell takes smart detection alerts to the next level. This subscription enhances your notifications with advanced features like Person, Package, Vehicle, and Pet Detection. This means you'll receive more specific alerts tailored to different types of events, such as knowing when a person is at your door, a package has been delivered, a vehicle approaches, or even if a pet is detected. Additionally, Cam Plus unlocks the advantage of unlimited video recording, ensuring you have access to your video history whenever you need it.
