Keep Tabs on Your Front Door With this Google Nest Doorbell Chime

by Joel Manansala

One challenge associated with traditional homes is that they typically have a closed-floor plan. With the living space subdivided into rooms, it’s not always easy to know what's happening right outside the front door.

Imagine you’re in the kitchen for dinner, expecting friends. Keeping an eye on the front door isn’t always possible, and even hearing the doorbell when someone has arrived isn’t a given. This is where the Wasserstein Doorbell Chime for Google Nest Doorbell comes in.

This doorbell chime is designed to work with the Google Nest Doorbell, providing you with a clear and audible alert whenever someone is at your front door.

How to set up

To set up the Wasserstein Doorbell Chime, you will need to wire the transmitter to your Nest Doorbell. Once the wiring is complete, you can move on to setting up the chime.

First, press and hold both brightness adjustment buttons on the chime for 3 seconds. Then press the doorbell button and let the wireless chime pair with the transmitter.

After this initial setup, you can choose from 7 different tones and 4 LED colors to customize the chime receiver. To change the doorbell tune, simply press the Wasserstein logo button, and use the center and volume down buttons to also change the LED color.

With the ability to connect up to 5 chimes to the transmitter, you can set one up in each room throughout your home. This will easily let you hear the doorbell from anywhere in your house, whether in the living room, kitchen, or basement.

This ensures that you're always aware of what's happening out front, without having to constantly check. If it's an important visitor or delivery, you can even communicate with them without having to physically open the door by using the two-way communication feature on the Nest app.

Stay updated on what’s happening at your front door even when you’re on the other side of the house with the Wasserstein Doorbell Chime for Google Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen).
